A=w*l
w= width (12 inches as given)
l = length (6/5 width or 6/5 times 12 = 14.4 inch)
A=w*l= 12*14.4 = 172.8 square inches
Answer: 172.8

The area of the rectangle is simply width times length.
Hence, A = w*l = (6/5)*12 = 72/5 = 14.4 square inches (ANSWER)
