As for transporting, well it is transporting blood not gases but blood itself does this later job of transporting gases .. and as for the exchanging thing it could be also said that it is the RBCs job or generally speaking blood again ..

So based on all of the above i think that the answer must be False if the teacher/tutor knows well what they are supposed to be doing ;) and can name things very accurately too (which is unfortunately rare nowadays to be honest).

But if they are one of the hoi pollois then I guess you better go for the general True ..
