The pressure inside an an automobile tire is 44.0 pounds per square inch on a warm summer day (44.0 degree Celcius). Calculate the tire pressure in the same tire on a very cold day (-35.0 degree celcius) assuming that no air escapes from the tire

Assuming ideal gases, and that there is no volume variation,

P_0/T_0=P_1/T_1\Rightarrow P_1=P_0T_1/T_0=33.0\ \text{pounds/inch}^2

And use the temperature transformation from Celsius to Kelvin.

T(K)=T(C)+273
