x-intercept = (x,0) y is zero
y- intercept = (0,y) x is zero
In the equation y = -1/2 x -5
x-intercept would be
0 = -1/2 x - 5
5 = -1/2x
x = -10
y-intercept would be
y = -1/2 (0) - 5
y = -5

Thus, the answer is (-10,0) and (0,-5).
