The shape of the cross section is Hexagon.

Option A is the correct answer.

Explanation

The given pyramid is pentagonal pyramid. The cross section of pentagonal pyramid is a pentagon.

But in the given figure a plane cuts a pyramid in a different way. After cutting the shape of the cross section will have six sides.

So it will be a hexagon. All sides are not equal so it is not a regular hexagon.
