Solve the equation.

3/2a = -3/4

Please explain how to get the answer and work out the problem.

I solved this rational equation by combining expressions and isolating the variable a

what you do is divide -3/4 from both sides but when you have fractions you use the reciprocal.
4 * 3
3 * 2
Since you can simplify 4/3 and 3/2 do that so that you don't have to do that after. 4 becomes 2 and 3 becomes 1. 3 becomes 1 and 2 also becomes 1
so it should looks like this
2 * 1 = 2
1 * 1 = 1
So a= 2
