Case: Rate of change. Also called slope (or gradient)

Problem description: The change of d with respect to t is described as every 3 units increase in t leads to a corresponding 8 units increase in d.

Final answer:

Rate of change is caculated as:


\begin{gathered} \text{Rate of change= }(\Delta d)/(\Delta t) \\ \text{Rate of change= }(8)/(3)\text{ OR }2(2)/(3)\text{ OR 2.67 (approx)} \end{gathered}
