Adjectives are words that modify, describe or gives further information about nouns and pronouns. While a noun is a word that names a thing, a person, an animal, a place, an idea, a feeling, and others, a pronoun is a word that can replace a noun, like he which can replace the noun Marcus, for example.
The eight adjectives in the passage are the following:
1. Drifting: It describes the noun “fog.”
2. Narrow and 3. River: They both describe the noun “valleys”
4. Thick: It describes the noun “forest”
5. Chill: It describes “mist”.
6. Quiet and 7. Little: They both describe the noun “farms”
8. Picturesque: It describes the noun “countryside”
