Trade winds
Step-by-step explanation
;
Trade winds are types of winds that flows outwards down the pressure gradient away from the subtropical highs. They are the prevailing winds that are found in the tropics.
They blow westwards and towards the equator.
They are found low in the atmosphere and were very important to the early explorers as they helped in propelling their boats, and thus made travelling easier and hence trading was possible.
