I dont get this at all 0.5x-6=-4

You use the inverse property so add 6 to -6 and add 6 to the -4 to get 2. Then you set up the equation so it is .5x+2. Now just divide 2 by .5 to get your answer x=4

I'm gonna show you the step by step process

0.5*4=2

2-6=-4

and that is why x=4
