Well, first you add together the total amount of books she has read.
25+17=42.
Then you times 42 by $0.25.
42 x $0.25= $10.50
Her father will owe her $10.50 if she reads 42 books.
Hope this helped! :)

Her father will owe her $10.50 because you have to multiply .25 (The amount of a quarter) and 17 which will give you $4.25. Once you do that you have to multiply .25 and 25 to give you $6.25 and when you add those together you get $10.50
