Someone please help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A rectangle with vertices J(2, 0) K(0,0) L(0,8) and M(2, 8) is rotated around the y-axis.

A. Use complete sentences to describe the resulting solid. Include the specific measurements for the solid’s dimensions such as height, width, length, radius, etc. B. To the nearest tenth of a cubic unit, what is the volume of the resulting three-dimensional figure? Include all of your calculations.

hmm
we see the one point is at (0,0), how nice of them

we can see esily that the width is 2 and height is 8
when rorated around the y axis, the radius is th ewidth

so the volume is that of a cylinder
V=hpir^2
h=8
r=2
pi=3.141592
V=8*3.141592*2^2
V=8*3.141592*4
V=32*3.141592
V=100.530944
round to tenth
V=100.5 cubic units

height=8 units
width=2 units
radius=2 units
cylinder
volume was 100.5 cubic units

Answer:

Explanation:

Given is a rectangle with one vertex at the origin, with length = 8 and width = 2 units.

It is rotated around y axis.

Hence radius of rotation is difference in x =2-0 =2

A cylinder will be formed with radius = 2 units and height = 8 units.

B) Volume =
\pi r^2h = \pi (4)8\\=32\pi cubic units\\=100.5 cubic units.
