A flagpole is 25 feet tall. A rope is tied to the top of the flagpole and secured to the ground 16 feet from the base of the flagpole. Draw the situation and then use the Pythagorean theorem to estimate the length of the rope to the nearest integer value

As for the drawing, help yourself.

P. theorem -- a^2 + b^2 = c^2
a = 25
b = 16

so 25^2 + 16^2 = c^2
c^2 = 881
c = sqrt881
