Let's solve for f.
y=f(x+2)
Step 1: Flip the equation.
fx+2f=y
Step 2: Factor out variable f.
f(x+2)=y
Step 3: Divide both sides by x+2.
f(x+2)x+2=yx+2f=yx+2
Answer:
f=yx+2
