Given the equation: 3x - 5y = 15

We will graph the equation using the intercepts of the line

the x-intercept is the value of x when y = 0

So, when y = 0


3x=15\rightarrow x=(15)/(3)=5

The y-intercept is the value of y when x = 0

so, when x = 0


-5y=15\rightarrow y=(15)/(-5)=-3

so, the line is passing through the points (5, 0) and ( 0, -3)
