Solve for x: x-2/x+4=x+2/x+12 help please

Alright, let's cross-multiply both sides.
(x-2) will multiply with (x+12)
(x+4) will multiply with (x+2)
FOIL each, making them:
x^2+10x-24 = x^2+6x+8
Bring all x-values to one side:
x^2+10x-24=x^2+6x+8
-x^2 -6x -x^2 -6x
4x-24=8
+24 +24
4x=32
/4
x=8
