Given

y=2x-5

To graph this line you have to determine at least two points of the line.

One can be the y-intercept, that is, the value of y when x=0

\begin{gathered} y=2\cdot x-5 \\ y=-5 \end{gathered}

The coordinates of the y-intercept are (0,-5)

For the second point, you have to choose any value of x, for example, x=2

\begin{gathered} y=2\cdot2-5 \\ y=4-5 \\ y=-1 \end{gathered}

For the second point the coordinates are (2,-1)
