Hi there!

First of all simplify x+5(x-1)=(x-3)4-1.
This would make 6x-5=4x-13.

Next, subtract 4x from both sides.
6x-5-4x=4x-13-4x
2x-5=-13

Then add 5 to both sides.
2x-5+5=-13+5
2x=-8

Finally divide by 2 on both sides.
2x/2=-8/2
x=-4

Your answer is -4.

Hope this helped!
