start by trying to incorperate words that corresponde to what type of essay
then wrap up with the themes of each of the body paragraphs

for example: a persuasive essay, main topic about a girl who went to a fair
did the girl have fun or not, name two or three things that support that concept

thesis: the girl had fun at the fair by spending time with family, all the sights, and making fond memories.

- Tells the reader how you will interpret the reading/ writing.

- Tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper.

- Directly answers the question asked of you.

- Makes a claim that people might go against, in other words, they will argue with you.

- Is usually a single sentence near the beginning of your paper that presents your argument to the reader.
