Kush cities had a design and layout similar to the design of most cities in Egypt and contained temple and pyramid tombs. Egyptians cities contained wood and fueled iron furnaces.

Kush was an empire to the south of Egypt and was built at the base of the mountains, they had a steady amount of rainfall.
This region of Africa had mined minerals and high-quality stone for trade and introduced and developed iron metallurgy.
Egypt depended on the flooding of the Nile River, they sponsored mineral exploitation of the valley and surrounding desert regions.
The architecture of the cities was similar, they had temples and pyramids tombs. But the Kush had wood-fueled iron furnaces so they could develop iron metallurgy.
