Freedom of speech is very broad but also has its limits. Mainly, it is when normal speech turns hateful and many people are offended by it. Even then, however, it still may be legal under the law. Things such as true threats against someone's well being and saying obscene things publically are outlawed. There is a thin line, but as long as one doesn't threaten someone's persona or shout obscene things in public one should be protected under the law.
