In first option,

Thus, total discount = 25 % of the marked price

= 0.25 × 1250

= 312.5

Thus, the selling price = 1250 - 300 = $ 950,

Since, 937.5 < 950

Hence, First option is better than that of second.

Also, total saving = 950 - 937.5 = $ 12.5
