Like the eyes, the feet are fed by a network of arteries and small vessels that provides the muscles and tissues with the oxygen and nutrients necessary for their functioning.
Difficult healing

In the case of arteritis, the arteries of the legs become blocked, decreasing the oxygen supply to the feet. As a result, the wounds extend and do not heal, amputation is the last resort.

(Arteritis): occlusion of the arteries in the lower limbs.
