The answer would be 35/24 because if you multiply 8 by 6 to get a common denominator, then multiply 3 by 6 to get the numerator for 3/8, then multiply 11 by 8 to get the numerator for 11/6, you get 18/48 and 88/48 which difference is 70/48.

Answer:

1(11)/(24) cup more water than sugar

Explanation:

Jalil mixed the number of cups of sugar =
(3)/(8)

with the number of cups of water =
(11)/(6)

We have to find the additional amount of water that is used in his mixture.

So we will subtract the amount of sugar from the amount of water.

(11)/(6) -
(3)/(8)

=
(44-9)/(24)

=
(35)/(24)

=
1(11)/(24) cup

1(11)/(24) cup more water is used in this mixture.
