Hi I need help with my fraction problem 3 1/4- 2 1/3= ?

1.you need to find the Least Common Multiple (LCM) Of the denominator.
2.the LCM of 3 and 4 is 12
(REMEMBER)What ever you do to the denominator you have to do to the numerator
3.With the 1/4 of 3 and 1/4 you did 4*3 is 12 so 1*3 is one which leaves you with 3 3/12
4. you do the same with the 1/3 and 3*4 is 12 and 1*4 is 4 which leaves you with 2 4/12
5. Finally, You do 3 3/12 - 2 4/12= 0.9166 the 6 repeating.
