23=x-9;x=14 how do I figure out if this is a solution of the equation?

there is no solution because x is incorrect.

x should be 32

Subsitute 14 back in for x. So you should get
23 = (14) - 9
If this is correct, both sides should equal each other.

However, it is not, because 23
\\eq5.

x=32 is the solution.
