Add 3b to both sides

ac=c-4+3b

Subtract c from both sides

ac-c=-4+3b

Regroup terms

ac-c=3b-4

Factor out the common term c

c(a-1)=3b-4

Divide both sides by a-1

c= (3b-4)/(a-1)
