3x - 2y = 12

If x = 2, we have:

3*2 - 2y = 12

6 - 2y = 12

-2y = 12 - 6

-2y = 6

-y = 6/2

-y = 3

y = -3

For x = -5. we have:

3*(-5) - 2y = 12

-15 - 2y = 12

-2y = 12 + 15

-2y = 27

-y = 27/2

y = -27/2
