rate of change = slope

function 1 :
(0,0)(1,2)
slope = (2 - 0) /(1 - 0) = 2/1 = 2

function 2 : y = 1/2x + 7...in y = mx + b form, the slope is in the m position.
so ur slope here is 1/2.

so function 1 has a greater rate of change because it is 2.......function 2 has 1/2 rate of change
