8/20 = 40/100
this is because you need to make the denominator 100 so you x 5
do the same to the top and bottom
therefore the answer is 40

8/20 of 100
You multiply both sides of the fraction by 5 to make it 40/100
then you have (40/100)*100
both 100s cancel out leaving just 40
