The correct answer of the given question above would be option B. How the title “Marriage Is a Private Affair” is ironic because the marriage of Nnaemeka and Nene is not private at all because it is discussed by the entire village. The marriage of Nnaemeka and Nene is not private at all because it is discussed by the entire village.

Nnaemeka's father Okeke was against the decision of Nnaemeka of marring Nene because she belonged to a tribal group. Such reserved and orthodox thinking was not just restricted to Okeke but were the thinking of the entire village. After their marriage, the women of the village didn't include Nene in any of the village affairs. Where marriage should be a totally private affair Nnaemeka's and Nene's marriage becomes a public one.
