Why did some people think the Three-Fifths Compromise encouraged slavery?

It increased the political power of enslavers.
It increased slavery in the northern states.
It increased the rights of enslaved people.
It increased northern support for slavery.

Answer:

basically, the more slaves you had in your area, the more power you had in the government b/c the number of votes your state got was based on how big or small you population was. This idea caused things like the whole "Bleeding Kansas" fiasco where people were killing and running each other off of land so the state could be a slave state and slave-holding states would have more power. There was literally a preacher who bought and handed out guns so his parishioners could defend themselves.

Step-by-step explanation:

Also, slaves were counted as 3/5ths of a person because, although the southern states wanted the representation in gov., they were happy in their "well slaves aren't real people so we don't have to treat them well" bubble.
