also if u have different denominators you have to find their least common denominators (LCD) like 1/2 and 1/5 u multiply until u find the same factors like 10 (5×2=10 and 5×2=10) then u can add across to find ur numerator to get 1/10+1/10=2/10

If you have a model of pizza, and there are 6 pieces. If you eat 3 pieces. You have eaten 3/6 or 1/2 of the pizza.
