Process of elimination is helpful here.

Starting with A, if every pallet weighs approximately 1,131 pounds and there are 26 pallets, then that's 29,406 total pounds of additional weight. Add that additional weight to the 30,000 of the truck and trailer and you have 59,406 total pounds. If you divide that number by 18, you get the total number of pounds that each tire is supporting. 59,406 divided by 18 is 3300, so that seems to be the answer.

Answer: A. 1,131 lbs

Explanation:

Given: the weight of each tire of a fully loaded semi truck = 3,300 lbs

Then the weight of 18 tires of a fully loaded semi truck =
18* 3300=59400\ lbs

Also, the unloaded truck and trailer, with the driver aboard weighs 30,000 pounds.

Therefore, the weight of pallets =
59400-30000=29400\ lbs

Hence, the weight of 26 pallets of cargo when it is fully loaded= 29400 lbs

Now, the weight of each pallet=
(29400)/(29)=1130.76923077\approx1131\ lbs

∴ The approximate average weight of one pallet of cargo= 1131 lbs
