Hello, the slope of the line that runs parallel to y = x + 14 would be 1. Since the new line would be parallel, the slope stays the same (there is a 1 in front of the x) but the y-intercept would change. Hope this helps! :)

Since a line that is parallel to another has the same slope, you can say:
The slope of y = x + 14 is 1
The slope of the parallel line will be 1 as well
