The equation is in y=mx+b form where m represents slope and b represents the y intercept. So begin by graphing the point (0,-5) on the Y axis

Next you look at the slope, slope is rise over run so in this case you would rise or go up 1 from the point (0,-5) and then go left or "run" 2 units
