Rigor Mortis:
temporary rigidity of muscles occurring after death
Livor Mortis: A purple discoloration of the skin in some dependent body areas following death as a result of blood cell
destruction.

Rigor Mortis is the stiffening of the body the muscles and all whereas Livor Mortis is the setting of the blood and the discoloration of the skin ( skin turns to gray and stale colors)
