Loss of habitat affects all the living things in an area, as it potentially cuts off food sources and breeding habitats. Due to construction, the noise may also potentially disturb and disrupt sleeping habits. This may cause the living things to move to different habitats, which in turn will disturb the inhabitants there, or cause them to adapt to the new roads, noise, and cars (in which they would not have originally had to deal with).
