The unfair treatment of the colonies. England treated the colonies like they were insubordinate by taxing them and making decisions on their behalf without  the Colonies' representation or consent.These topics are great things to research for further details: The Boston Massacre, the French and Indian War, the intolerable acts, the first meeting of the Continental Congress.
