Okay hear this...someone came into the shop and stole $100 from the register without my knowledge.

The person came back with the same $100 five minutes later and he bought $70 in items
I gave him back $30 change.
How much money did I lose?

If your including the cost of the items that were bought you still only really lost thirty dollars, but you also lost the items that were bought with the 70
