The communitive property states that "the numbers on which we operate can be moved or swapped from their position without making any difference to the answer"

For example if you add 2+5 = 7, but if you add 5+2 = 7!

The communitive property applies to multiplication and addition but not division and subtraction (look down)

Multiplication Example - 10 × 5 = 50 5 × 10 = 50

Addition Example - 10 + 5 = 15 5 + 10 = 15

Division Example - 10 ÷ 5 = 2 5 ÷ 10 = 0.5

Subtraction Example - 10 - 5 = 5 5 - 10 = -5
