Why do we have to do math

good question, I feel like we shouldn't have to do math because some of us wont need it when we grow up and get jobs. You dont need to know math to pass and get drafted. You have to be good at what you want to be. Lets say you wanted to be a lawyer, you dont need to know math. So I really do not understand why we have to do math because I feel like it should be optional depending on what we want to do in the future
