Graph the image of the figure after a dilation with a scale factor of 3/2 centered at (5, −5).

Use the polygon tool to graph the triangle by connecting all its vertices

the coordinates are

(5,-1)
(3,-5)
(-1,-5)

Answer:

The vertices of image are (5,1), (2,-5) and (-4,-5).

Explanation:

The vertices of triangle are (5,-1), (3,-5) and (-1,-5).

If a figure dilated by scale factor k centered at (a,b), then

(x,y)\rightarrow (k(x-a)+a,k(y-b)+b)

The figure after a dilation with a scale factor of 3/2 centered at (5, −5).

(x,y)\rightarrow ((3)/(2)(x-5)+5,(3)/(2)(y+5)-5)

The coordinates of image are

(5,-1)\rightarrow ((3)/(2)(5-5)+5,(3)/(2)(-1+5)-5)\rightarrow (5,1)

(3,-5)\rightarrow ((3)/(2)(3-5)+3,(3)/(2)(-5+5)-5)\rightarrow (2,-5)

(-1,-5)\rightarrow ((3)/(2)(-1-5)+5,(3)/(2)(-5+5)-5)\rightarrow (-4,-5)

Therefore vertices of image are (5,1), (2,-5) and (-4,-5).
