To get the yearly amount multiply by 12 the monthly amount:

Mortgage:

1,522.45*12=18,269.40

Cable television:

75.40*12=904.80

Electricity:

120.34*12=1,444.08

Gas:

60.52*12=726.24

Telephone:

68.95*12=827.40

Cars:

650.39*12=7,804.68

Food:

200.85*12=2,410.20

Clothing:

102.09*12=1,225.08

Total yearly expenditures:

18,269.40+904.80+1,444.08+726.24+827.40+7,804.68+2,410.20+1,225.08=33,611.88

1. If they save $45.50 a month, multiply that amount by 12 to find how much they have saved by the end of the year:

45.50*12=546.00

They will save $546.00 by the end of the year.

2. Given data: Pays $75.40 for Cable bill. Basic service is half of what is currently paying.

Find the half of 75.40 to know the cost of basic service:

(75.40)/(2)=37.70

He would pay $37.70 for basic service

3. As the monthly basic service cost $37.70, multiply it by 12 to get the yearly bill:

37.70*12=452.4

The yearly bill for basic service would be $452.40
