If you follow the order of operations, you'll get the right answer.

The order of operations is this: PEMDAS.
(P) - Parenthesis
(E) - Exponent
(M) - Multiplication
(D) - Division
(A) - Addition
(S) - Subtraction

You can also memorize the order of operations by keeping this sentence in mind:
(P)lease (E)xcuse (M)y (D)ear (A)unt (S)ally

If you follow it, doing the multiplication first, you'll get the answer right.
First, 7 multiplied by 5 is equal to 35. Next, if you add 50 to 35, you'll get 85.
I hope you find this the most helpful! :)
