12 by 6.5. Okay first you would add 12 and 6.5 but thats not the whole perimeter you want to add both digits again so it would be... 12+12+6.5+6.5 which would give you 37 for the perimeter. For the area you would multiply the two sides which is 12 times 6.5 which would be 78. But don't forget to add the !² above the number other wise the answer will be wrong.

I hope this helps you
Perimeter =2 (width +length )
Perimeter =2 (6,5+12)
Perimeter =2.18,5
Perimeter =37
