Answer : The scale factor is 2

Triangle TUV has the following coordinates

T (-2, -3) , U(0, 1), V (2, -3)

It is transformed into triangle XYZ

X(-4, -6), Y(0, 2), Z(4, -6)

The order of pair can be represented as (x, y)

For cordinate T and its corresponding transformation

\begin{gathered} T(-2,\text{ -3) and X(-4, -6)} \\ \text{Let x 1 = -2, y1 = 3, x2 = -4 and y2 = -6} \\ \text{Scale factor =}(y2)/(y1)\text{ or }(x2)/(x1) \\ \text{Scale factor = }(-6)/(-3)\text{ or }(-4)/(-2) \\ \text{Scale factor = }2 \end{gathered}

The same proccess is applicable to the other coordinates of the triangle and it corresponding sides

The transfolrmation of Triangle TUV to triangle XYZ is a dilation with a scale factor of 2
