8. (14x+14) + (9-54x)
-40x+23
9. (-12x-20) + (-10+-4x)
-16x-30

First you combine like terms ( that means add up, subtract, multiply, or divide it) in this case its 2x+2. 2x+2=4x. Now remember we always do the distributive property first so now we go to the next set of parenthesis. Nowwe combine -1 and 6x. Now that we have done that we have to multiply our new numbers to the number before the parenthesis. First we do 7*4x,our product is 28x. Right now our expression looks like this. 28x-5x. But were not done yet. now we subtract 28x by 5x. Our answer is 23x. Do the same process with question 8 and remember to use PEMDAS to help you.
