Gualtier's subjects first doubt Griselda's worthiness as a bride because she is from a lower social class. Option A is correct.

The Decameron is a collection of novellas written by the 14th-century Italian writer Giovanni Boccaccio. In that collection you can find the story with these two characters, Gultier and Griselda. Actually, it is the tenth story in the collection. Gualtieri is a wealthy marquis who has to get married so that he would marry a poor, but good girl from the village named Griselda. She is a great wife, but at first she is not totally accepted by the subjects because she belongs to a lower class.
