A simile is the comparison of at least 2 things but it uses the words “like” or “as.” Similes are commonly used in literature to describe something more in detail and it’s a very important literary term to understand.
An example of a simile is below.
He walked as slow as a turtle.
This is a simile because it’s a comparison of how slow the person is walking and comparing how slow the turtle is going. Since it uses the word “as,” we would call this a simile.
